All About Tendons & Fascia
4 Contact Hour CEs, NCBTMB Approved for Live participants. As there will be an instructor present, all participants will receive a certificate good for 4 Contact Hours for OBMT renewal.
5-9 PM, Pacific Time
Live Class Location: 2135 SE 76th Ave, Portland, OR 97215
Livestream participation via Zoom
The world of fascia has expanded greatly in the last decade and our understanding of how our fascia works has changed dramatically in that time. This workshop is designed to distill much of my own personal research into tendons and fascia into a succinct, manageable and useful form. We will also examine tendons and fascia in a wholistic setting by looking at lifestyle and nutrition factors (please note that I am not a nutritionist and will not be dispensing nutrition advice). This workshop will leave you with a better understanding of the anatomy and physiology of tendons and fascia in the hopes that this will inform your choices in your own life and practice of bodywork. We will explore treatment options available to massage therapists but also make you aware of treatment options that can be pursued through physical therapy and other disciplines.
This workshop will be interspersed with hands-on bodywork and related activities to demonstrate and experiment with the concepts covered!
